Health and Safety is an important topic and will be covered in all courses.

Beginners will be shown how to sharpen tools correctly, how to turn between centres including sanding and finishing, how to use chucks and other fixing methods used for turning boxes, small vases and other end grain projects.

This would be followed by how to mount and turn small bowls or platters.

Intermediate this is for those with some experience in woodturning that have problem areas or wish to move forward onto more complex forms. Depending on the students basic skills the course could revisit sharpening, sanding, finishing, shape and form, texturing, colouring, how to use specific tools etc. The course is tailored to your needs.

Advanced this is for the turner that is confident in turning basic forms but wishes to advance and explore natural edge, hollow forms, thin walled vessels, thread chasing etc.

All courses are on a 1 to 1 basis and run from 9 am to 5 pm, there is no set duration for a course and can be from 1 to 5 days depending on how much you wish to learn. Course fees are £85 per day and includes all materials and refreshments
